DAINIK NATION BUREAU

Taking cognizance on the decreasing footfall day by day state government has decided that janta darbar will be organised on every alternate days. Critics said that they were organizing janta darbar at party office which is why they failed to get connected with mass. Although State Cooperative and Higher Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, who listened people grievance today, said that the programme has been a success and claimed that in 80 % of the application were addressed and remaining will be addressed in coming days.

As we know that once the government forms then they(CM & Min) took oath that they would execute their decision as per the constitution only. By orgnasing the meeting at party they sent message that the program for BJP workers only. Another says that whosoever visited here and submitted their petition are yet to be addressed which is why it is losing its sheen.

The Janata Darbar, which was started to bridge gap between the government and public, has lost its objective somewhere which is why footfall in this programme started reducing day by day. Ironically Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had asked his cabinet colleague to listen to sit at party office and interact with the public. with this decision government had sent message that their ministers sit in party office to listen their party workers grievance. Due to this reason government has revised its order and said that now onward minsiter would sit in party office only twice in a week.

On the directive of CM Trivendra Singh Rawat the ‘Janata Darbar’ programme was being organized at party office since August 28. On Sunday, very few people attended janta darbar led by Dr Rawat. On condition of anonymity an official admitted that the attendance in the programme has dropped significantly.

At the same time, he defended it and said “The Diwali break and the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat had affected the regularity of the Darbar as many of ministers were assigned task in the election campaign. Decreasing number has also made the ministers disinterested. Similarly people, whosoever have come here to lodge their complaint, grievances are yet to be addressed by the government officials. It is learnt that the most of applicants had come here to to seek monetary assistance from the chief minister discretionary fund.
