CS sought help from ONGC & THDC for govt schools

To provide basic amenities like toilets, provide tap water connection and furniture in government schools Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh has sought help from ONGC and THDC today .

He also appealed them to help government schools on priority basis and increase CSR fund too.  As the fund which they are providing under CSR are less than their standard. With this contribution state wants to provide basic amenities in government schools so that children would be comfortable during their stay in school. He also asked the education department officials to make judicious use of private fund and do its monitoring at district and block level too.

CS asked them to connect newly constructed or under construction toilet with tap water and for this you send a proposal to the state government. To provide water supply in these schools you install rain water harvesting system in these schools. He asked them that now he will review the status after 10 days so you come with latest facts and figure too

He asked the Secretary Education Dr Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh to prepare a detail proposal for the basic amenities of the school so that these two instituations can make more and more contribution under CSR
