Three more accused in the kidney murder case were arrested by the police. These include the medicine supplier of Gangotri Charitable Hospital, Gujarat’s agent and the wife of the hospital’s director Rajiv Choudhary. So far, eight accused, including Kidney Purchase gang gangster Amit and his brother Jeevan, have been arrested.
Police Superintendent Rural Sarita Dobal told that Abhishek Sharma, resident of Rajmandi Hilli Bazaar Kankhal (Haridwar) ran a drugstore at Gangotri Charitable Hospital. For those patients who had kidney transplant, medicines were bought from here.
Abhishek played a key role in helping mastermind of the racket Amit flee the spot on the night of September 10. The red Ford Figo car, with which Amit fled Haridwar and reached Panchkula belongs to Abhishek.
SP Rural said that Jagdish Kumar resident of house number 62 Vinayak Residency Jihah Budiya Road Patastha Surat (Gujarat) who has been working as an agent in Gujarat has also been arrested.
Jagadish had sent hree people, including a couple from Jhansi to Dehradun for selling kidneys. Gujarat. Anupama Chowdhary, cordinator of Gangotri Charitable Hospital, and wife of Rajiv Choudhary, who played a key role in bringing Amit to Dehradun too has also been arrested.
All three arrests have come from near Lacchiwala Flyover near Doiwala, near Dehradun. The police have deployed special teams to nab the remaining culprits of the racket.
