The ongoing National Games in Uttarakhand are set to promote a significant message of women’s health alongside sporting excellence. As part of a unique initiative by the National Sports Secretariat, women participants will receive a welcome kit that includes Peesafe sanitary pads, biodegradable tampons, and sanitizers.

The Sports Department has partnered with Radcliffe Hygiene Private Limited (RHPL) to support this initiative. RHPL has committed to supplying 10,000 packets of Peesafe brand sanitary napkins, out of which 5,300 packets are allocated for women athletes. Additionally, Peesafe toilet seat sanitizers in 25 ml quantities (5,300 units) and 600 biodegradable tampons will be included in the welcome kits.

RHPL will also set up a stall at the venue to distribute the remaining sanitary products to women guests as needed. The stall will be staffed by two volunteers, with priority given to women.

To further emphasize the importance of women’s health, a dedicated session on the topic has been scheduled during the event. This session will feature discussions on various aspects of women’s well-being, with Amit Sinha, CEO of the National Sports Secretariat, leading the dialogue.

This initiative not only promotes hygiene and health awareness but also reflects a progressive approach to addressing women’s health issues in public spaces. By integrating these efforts into the National Games, Uttarakhand sets an example of combining social responsibility with sportsmanship, ensuring a lasting impact on participants and visitors alike.
