Nainital zoo is set to welcome a majestic white tiger from the Delhi zoo. This move is expected to add a significant attraction to the zoo, drawing more tourists to the picturesque hill station.
According to sources, discussions between the Nainital and Delhi zoos are in advanced stages, and correspondence has already been exchanged to facilitate the transfer of the white tiger. Once finalized, Nainital zoo will become one of the few zoos in India to host this rare and stunning creature, marking a major milestone for wildlife tourism in Uttarakhand.
The Nainital zoo, also known as the GB Pant High Altitude Zoo, is renowned for housing various endangered species like snow leopards, Himalayan bears, and red pandas. The inclusion of the white tiger will not only enhance the zoo’s reputation but also create an opportunity for visitors to witness one of nature’s most extraordinary animals in a serene, high-altitude setting.
Tourism officials believe that the arrival of the white tiger will boost footfall and further establish Nainital as a premier tourist destination. Preparations for the tiger’s safe relocation and comfortable accommodation are already underway.
