Kedarnath Dham kapat opens on the occasion of Akshya Tritiya

Kedarnath Dham Kapat opens amidst the chanting of “Jai Baba Kedarnath” and the tunes of the Grenadier Regiment’s band on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya. The doors of Lord Kedar open at  7 am. With this opening Char Dham yatra 2024 season begins. Over ten thousand pilgrims gathered to witness this auspicious moment.

In a significant gesture of reverence, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami graced the occasion, extending heartfelt congratulations to all devotees and expressing his wishes for the prosperity of the nation and the state. Emphasizing the anticipated success of the Chardham Yatra, Chief Minister Dhami reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to providing pilgrims with essential facilities and ensuring a seamless pilgrimage experience.

The auspicious event saw the participation of more than seven thousand devotees, who gathered to witness the historic opening of the temple doors. The sanctified premises were adorned with over 20 quintals of vibrant flowers, evoking a sense of divine splendor and spiritual fervor. Additionally, as a symbol of divine blessings, helicopters showered flowers upon the devotees gathered below.

Throughout the day, bhandaras, or community feasts, were organized at various locations, offering sustenance and solace to the pilgrims embarking on their sacred journey. The Chief Sevak Bhandara Program Committee played a pivotal role in orchestrating these benevolent initiatives, ensuring that the needs of devotees were met with compassion and generosity.

As the gates of Kedarnath Dham opened to welcome devotees from far and wide, the atmosphere was imbued with devotion, hope, and the collective spirit of pilgrimage, setting the stage for a spiritually enriching journey ahead.
