CISCE announces ICSE and ISC results 2024: pass percentage sees slight increase

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has officially declared the results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) board examinations for the year 2024 today, May 6, at 11 AM. This year, approximately 3 lakh students appeared for these examinations, eagerly awaiting their outcomes.

According to media reports, the pass percentage for ICSE stands at an impressive 99.47%, while the pass percentage for ISC is recorded at 98.19%. This marks a slight increase from the previous year’s results. In 2023, the pass percentages were 98.94% for ICSE and 96.93% for ISC.

The board examinations for ISC were conducted between February 12 and April 3, while the ICSE Class 10 exams took place from February 21 to March 28. Students can now access their results through the official CISCE websites, cisce.org and results.cisce.org. Additionally, the results are available for download through the DigiLocker platform and the UMANG app.

To successfully pass the exams, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks. For those who did not clear certain subjects, there is an opportunity to appear for improvement exams later.

The announcement of the results brings both relief and anticipation for students, as they await their academic achievements and plan their next steps towards higher education or career paths. The CISCE’s commitment to maintaining academic standards and ensuring fair evaluation is reflected in the meticulous conduct of the examinations and the timely release of results.
