Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the large gathering at the Rishikesh rally upon his arrival. He expressed thanks to the crowd for coming to bless the event in Rishikesh, which he described as the gateway to Char Dham, near the sacred Ganges.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, the PM stated, “Yesterday I was in Tamil Nadu, on the southern coast of India. Even there, people are chanting – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar! Today, I am amidst the Himalayas, in the presence of Baba Kedar and Badri Vishal. Here too, the echo is the same – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar!”
With confidence, PM Modi asserted, “Today, we have a government that has made India significantly stronger over the last 10 years.”
The Prime Minister highlighted several achievements of the BJP Government, including the elimination of terrorists from their hideouts, the historic revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir after seven decades, and the enactment of laws against triple talaq, addressing longstanding social issues. He also emphasized, “Furthermore, the BJP government has ensured women’s representation by providing them reservation in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly, promoting inclusivity and gender equality in governance.”
PM Modi also touched upon the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme, stating, “Under the Modi government, more than Rs 1 lakh crore has been provided to ex-servicemen through the implementation of OROP. Here in Uttarakhand, military families have received over Rs 3.5 thousand crores.”
