Uttarkhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has made physical inspection of ongoing reconstruction and development projects at Shri Kedarnath Dham. During her visit, she assessed various under-construction initiatives including the Astha Path, Guest House, Mandakini-Saraswati Ghat, Museum, Kedarnath Temple Complex, and Hospital. She emphasized the importance of completing these projects within the stipulated timeline and instructed officials accordingly.
Accompanied by Bhaskar Khulbe, Officer on Special Duty for the Tourism Department, and Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve, Chief Secretary Raturi arrived at the helipad via helicopter around 9:30 am. Upon landing, she immediately began gathering information about the progress of development activities in the Kedarnath Valley. Engaging with district officials and Public Works Department (PWD) personnel, she sought updates on the ongoing works and urged for expeditious completion.
During her inspection, Chief Secretary Raturi focused on the construction of various structures near the Kedarnath Temple complex and inquired about their purpose. She emphasized the need for accelerated progress and instructed officials to address any challenges hindering the construction process. Additionally, she ensured that quality standards were being upheld and expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of all involved parties.
Reviewing the construction of rain shelters and river ghats, Chief Secretary Raturi emphasized the importance of providing adequate facilities in the area. She directed officials to prioritize the well-being of laborers and employees engaged in construction work, urging for their proper care and provision of facilities. Additionally, she instructed the implementation of effective systems for visitor convenience, such as token management and waste disposal.
After concluding her inspection, Chief Secretary Raturi departed from the VIP helipad around 11:30 am. Following her departure, District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar conducted further on-site inspections to ensure the timely completion of construction works and adherence to directives.
