The government counsel said that we need remand of the accused because we have to go to Lucknow so that evidences can be recovered. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court has sent Ashish to a day’s police remand.
Before surrendering, Ashish in a video said that “I was presented as a terrorist. Police across the country are searching for me. Look Out Circular has been issued against me. If you look at the CCTV footage, you will find who was trying to enter that toilet that night and who was threatening.”
Ashish said that “I had taken the gun for my safety and I did not have to threaten him. He said that the girl pushed me and made obscene gestures. I have complete faith in the judicial process and therefore I am surrendering.”
