Lok Sabha passes Triple talaq ordinance

The central government has approved the ordinance on triple talaq. According to sources, this bill was approved in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday. The triple talaq bill has been cleared from the Lok Sabha, but this bill is currently pending in the Rajya Sabha.
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said that the Modi government is not making issue of justice for Muslim women for triple talaq but it is engaged in trying to make it a political issue.

Deobandi Ulema had earlier expressed strong objection to this. Ulema had said that the center is continuously interfering in Sharia Law, which will not be tolerated.

Maulana Haseeb Siddiqi, said that the central government is constantly interfering in religious affairs of Muslims under the conspiracy of the 2019 elections, which would benefit them in the elections. According to him, the Center is constantly interfering in religious affairs while ignoring the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, the demand of Muslim organizations and Muslims.

He had said that if the government is so concerned about Muslim women, why are not they arranging reservation for them and connecting them with employment?

Maulana Haseeb had said that the case of triple talaq is of Sharit and Muslims pass their lives according to Sharia, so the government should not do such a thing, which will hurt the feelings of Muslim society.
