In order to keep the state clean under the Swachh Bharat Mission, a 15 day Swachhta Campaign would be started. The campaign will continue till October 2. Apart from the secretary level officers, the Ministers will also take part in the campaign.

This was disclosed by Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik while addressing at the workshop on the Sanitation Survey 2019 here in Dehradun on Friday. In the coming days, there will be a drastic change as far as cleanliness of the state is concerned. For this, there is need to develop a healthy work culture. The Secretary level officials are working day and night on the subject of cleanliness. The lower level workers should take inspiration from them. The cleanliness programme is not an individual programme but a programme to make a significant contribution to the society.

The municipal bodies that will send the proposals of Solid Waste Management to the Government will be accepted. Today, the state has achieved target of 100 per cent in the areas of Door to Door Collection and ODF and our strong desire has been developed to achieve the goal of Solid Waste Management as well.
