CM pays tribute to Kargil martyre


On the occasion of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, while saluting the exemplary courage and bravery of the Indian army, has paid homage to the brave martyrs. On the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Chief Minister in his message stated that Uttarakhand has a long tradition of the bravery and sacrifices made by the soldiers.

He said that during the Kargil war, sons of Uttarakhand in large number sacrificed their lives for the security of the nation. He asserted that state government is committed for the welfare of the soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families. Chief Minister said that despite the adverse conditions, the manner in which the Indian soldiers, while displaying their bravery, pushed the infiltrators across the border, the whole world acknowledged the strength of the Indian army. He further said that the nation will always remember the sacrifice made by the heroic soldiers to protect the country’s borders in the Kargil war.
