Police still clueless about criminals who attacked guard at ATM

More than 30 hours have passed but still police is clueless about the criminals, who had assaulted a security guard at IDBI bank ATM with a hammer at Saharanpur Chowk to steal cash from the ATM on Saturday night. When they failed to get cash then they destroyed the CCTV lense too before leaving the venue. Till morning the security guard was lying with pool of blood. The matter revealed when the guard family reached by searching him on Sunday.

This incident has shocked the city resident and they started murmuring that does law and order situation under control ? Few days back an engineer dead body had recovered outside a cinema hall and now security guard was assaulted with hammeer despite knowing the fact that the ATM is equipped with CCTV.

Dehradun SSP Nivedita Kukreti, who along with other subordinate rushed to the spot, has directed the police officers to take necessary measures to crack this case.  She said our investigation is moving on right direction so we would crack the case shortly

SSP said that it is not clear so far how many criminals were involved in the assault on the security guard. The injured security guard Rajendra, a resident of Vasant Vihar, who was initially admitted to the Doon medical college hospital has been referred to a higher centre. A case under appropriate sections of IPC has been registered against unidentified persons in the police station. Footage from closed circuit televsision cameras installed in the locality are also being scrutinized by the police. They are working on several angels to crack the case. However, no concrete leads had been found regarding the case so far, he added.

Although UK PCC President Preetam Singh alleged that under the Trivendra Singh Rawat led State government law and order situation has deteriorated because they know that CM has no biting tooth. It has exposed the police claims about patrolling during the night in the state capital though senior police officers claimed to have directed their subordinates to intensify patrolling in their jurisdictional limit.

It seems police is busy on improving traffic situation which is why they don’t have time to do policing. Reason may be anything but it has shocked the city resident about their safety. As we know that police keeps asking women that if you realise someone is chasing during night then you come inside ATM because it has CCTV. This incident has happened amid the presence of CCTV and it ascertains congress claims that police has no control over law and order.
