Govt trying to generate employment through BPO; IT Min

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met the Union Law and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday. The Union Minister said that the Center Government wanted to open BPOs in small towns.

The Central Government is trying to provide employment opportunities through BPO in Uttarakhand. The Central Government is ready to provide internet and networking with the help of state government in Uttarakhand.

After the meeting, the CM Rawat said that 70 percent of the land of Uttarakhand was surrounded by forest. Although, this topic is linked to NGT more than the Central Law Ministry, we should get permission for construction work in the forest areas for basic infrastructure and tourism development.

The CM said that efforts were being made to provide networking facility with the help of balloon technology in Uttarakhand. A MoU had been signed between Uttarakhand Government and IIT Mumbai in this regard. Soon, we will be able to provide mobile network facilities in remote areas of Uttarakhand through balloon technology.
