Bajran Dal supported ABVP against BJP MLA Yatiswaranand

To express solidarity with the Akhil bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad student leaders, Bajrang Dal leaders have also joined the foray. The Bajrang Dal leader alleged that the BJP legislator from Hariwar (rural) Swami Yateeswaranand has named Bajrand Dal worker in the manhandling case between him and the student union leaders. It would not be tolerated on any grounds.

The youths alleged that Yateeshwaranand had lodged false case against the student union leaders and if he did not withdraw the case, they would intensify their protest against him.

While ABVP leaders lodged case against legislator Swami Yateeshwaranand on Sunday along with Vikram bhullar, Rajesh Joshi, Rajwinder, Ajay Chauhan , Aditya and Atul Gurjar. The legislator also lodged case against ABVP union leaders. The Kotwali incharge of Jwalapur Amarjeet Singh said, “The cases have been lodged from both the sides and probe is on.”

Irked over their defeat in the student union elections of Gurukul Kangri University a day before, leaders of ABVP had protested outside Vedmandir ashram of Yateeshwaranand and allegedly manhandled him. They had accused the legislator for sabotaging the elections and working against the candidate. In a fight which broke out between supporters of legislator and ABVP, there was hot exchange of words. The student leaders alleged that the legislator used communalised (jati soochak) word which could not be tolerated.

Dismissing the charges against him, MLA Yateeshwaranand said, “Whatever the boys have done is on the instigation of someone which shall soon come on surface. I never went to attack anyone rather the boys attacked him after coming to his ashram. Even after my attempt to pacify them, they manhandled me.”
