Army working to bring normalcy in troubled Kashmir

Indian Army is  working to maintain peace in the troubled Kashmir valley. For this they are getting full suppport of union government too,  said the chief of Army staff Gen Bipin Rawat while talking to the media persons on the sidelines the  programme he attended  to mark the 51th founder’s day cum annual speech and prize day at Cambrian Hall, Dehradun on Saturday.  Army would continue to fight for the unity and integrity of the country without buckling under any pressure.  Notably, Gen Rawat is an alumni of Cambrian Hall.

 

The 27th chief of Army staff of the Indian Army, Rawat had studied in Cambrian Hall around 44 years ago.  Visibly moved  while visiting his alma mater, he touched the feet of his teacher Shanti Swaroop who had taught him when he was a student decades ago. ”Whatever I am today is thanks to my teachers,” he said.

 

He addressed the students and motivated them to live the school’s motto ‘Greater Heights’. He also remembered his well- spent days in the school  and thanked the institution for its contribution on his life.
