Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has inaugurated the Women Branch of District Cooperative Bank Ltd at Banjarawala on Wednesday. At this time visibly excited CM said that it was a matter of happiness that this bank was operated by women only. It will have good results. The future of cooperatives is bright.

The CM said that today the whole world was headed towards cooperative or corporate. Our cultivation is also being corporate or cooperative. “We have to maintain our traditional farming. Our ancestors were very hard working”, he said. The CM wished all the employees and said, “You have to prove that you are the best. The government is trying to establish women branches at Panchayat, Block, Tehsil and City level”.

The Cooperative Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government had given Rs. 45 crores for cooperative. We have decided to keep 1000 crores in scheduled banks. He said that loans up to one lakh would be provided @ two percent interest by cooperative banks. The loan farmers can avail for value adition of their produce or their animal too.
