kedarnath MLA Rawat invited Modi to visit Kedarnath temple

Shortly after taking oath as member of fourth elected uttarakhand assembly Kedarnath MLA  Manoj Rawat has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Kedarnath temple. The journalist turned politician Rawat said that he would soon write a letter to the Prime Minister and invite him to Kedarnath.  PM visit would give a positive message across the country. It would be appropriate if the PM Modi is present during the ceremony of reopening of portal of Kedarnath temple.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had visited Kedarnath temple on foot after the disaster to hammer home the point that the visits to Kedarnath and Char Dham Yatra are perfectly safe. It immediately struck a chord with followers of Hindu religion that the Kedarnath Yatra is safe and it helped in bring back the Char Dham Yatra back on track,’’ he said.

The first time MLA added that after the Kedarnath disaster Narendra Modi had publically declared that he wanted to visit Kedarnath but then state government did not allow him to visit there.  Manoj Rawat said that Modi should visit Kedarnath now as the state is under BJP rule at present and interestingly Vijay Bahuguna who was Chief Minister at that time is now in BJP’s fold. He added that after Kedarnath disaster the union government had announced a big package for rehabilitation and reconstruction activities but that state government is yet to receive the full package. Rawat optimistic that PM would review it and release the pending budget for the package.
