Soon after the counting was over, the state BJP president Ajay Bhatt thanked the people of Uttarakhand for giving his party a resounding victory in the poll.
In a press note released, Bhatt said that the unprecedented mandate for BJP has confirmed the confidence people of the state have reposed in the leadership of both the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP national president Amit Shah. The electric slogan “sabka saath sabka vikas (everyone’s development with the inclusion of everyone) as coined by them had inspired the people to throw their full weight behind the BJP, he said, adding that the monumental mandate had manifested the anger of the people with the corruption-stained Harish Rawat government.
He reiterated that his party will do everything to rise to the stupendous challenge the overwhelming mandate has thrown to them.
He also expressed thanks to the party activists at the grassroots who had sweated it hard on the ground to gift the party a thumping victory. Besides, he thanked the state BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju, election in-charges JP Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan and other Union ministers who had considerably contributed to the splendid victory of the party.
