Will Dissidents Cong Leaders win?

DAINIK NATION BUREAU

In a bid to win the ongoing assembly election BJP, which claims that they are ideology based party sideline it, and given ticket to all the 13 dissident congress leaders including Satpal Maharaj was given ticket in place of his wife & Ex MLA Amrita Rawat. Besides to facilitate senior leader the chopped three sitting MLAs including two -Teerath Singh Rawat &  Vijay Berthwal from Pauri District and Chandrashekhar Bhattewala from Haridwar district.

IN which three leaders Yashpal ARya and his son Sanjeev Arya and Kedar Singh Rawat were given ticket first then joined BJP. With this decision party has created problem for the 16 seats. Although they have been trying to cope up with the situation but facing stiff competition from them. Opposition party congress and its chief ministerial candidate harish Rawat has increased their tension by contesting election from two assembly constituencies i.e. Haridwar Rural of Haridwar district and Kichha of Udhamsinghnagar district. As we know that these two district sends 20 MLAs and BJP had won 12 seats including five from Haridwar and seven from Udhamsinghnagar during assembly election-2012. Although then chief minister Vijay Bahuguna had poached BJP MLA Kiran Mandal from Sitarganj and become the member of vidhan sabha by winning assembly by poll. Since CM Rawat decided to contest election from these two district then BJP, which was trying to reach vidhan sabha by sailing on the back of these 13 congress dissidents, are under stress and using all permutation and combination to keep their house intact.

To ascertain our claim, state BJP has suspended more than 50 party workers, who either contesting election as independent or congress ticket or canvassing against the BJP candidates, so far. Ground reality is that state BJP senior leaders, who are being overlooked by the BJP high command, are running annoyed. Although party has tried to balance Garhwal MP and Ex MP Maj Gen Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri by giving ticket to his daughter Ritu Khanduri from Yamkeshwar constituency of Pauri district by cutting sitting BJP MLA Vijay Berthwal’s ticket.

Sources said that party cadre is running annoyed and they are canvassing in favour of dissident 17 BJP leaders, who have been contesting election as an independent against the congress dissident leaders and they have been appealing to the people that these people are outsider and we have been contesting election to save the BJP, in the state. Although party high command has fixed senior leader public rally concentrated in dissidents leaders. For instance  BJP national president Amit Shah is addressing nine rallies including two rallies each in Pauri i.e. Kotdwar where former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat is contesting election and Pauri which is close to Choubattakhal where Satpal Maharaj is contesting election and Tehri district where Subodh Uniyal is contesting election from Narendranagar and Ghansali where BJP dissident MLA Bhimlal Arya, who had voted in favour of CM Harish Rawat during floor test happened on the instruction of surpemer court, is contesting election on congres ticket.

In Udhamsinghnagar two dissidents Ex cabinet minister yashpal Arya and Ex MLA Dr Shailendra Mohan Singhal have been contesting from Bazpur and Jaspur respectively. Even Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi is going to address four out of five Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. AS we know that state has 70 assembly constituency and five lok sabha constituency so each Parliamentary Constituency spreads in 14 assembly seats of the state. Even PM Modi is going to address his public rally in Srinagar of Pauri district to give edge to the dissidents Satpal Maharaj and harak Singh Rawat. As BJP election incharge JP Nadda has categorically said that chief minister would be among from MLAs. It would be pertinent to mention here that Satpal Maharaj has never contested assembly election but this time he has been contesting. With these two development state BJP senior leaders, who have already told :”party wins and credit goes to central leadership, are feeling cheated and they have become followers of the central leadership instead of steering the boat during election.
