CM Rawat should release report card; Teerath

DAINIK NATION BUREAU

Newly appointed BJP national secretary Teerath Singh Rawat dubbed the Congress party’s manifesto  as a figment  of dreams, smacking of make-believe, placed far from the  reality. “Instead of unveiling such a meaningless manifesto, the chief minister Harish Rawat should have   come out with his report card. The people owe an explanation as the party ruled the state for  five years. Instead, the party is selling dreams again to lure the voters” he said.

Ironically, Rawat has recently been elevated to the post of the party’s national secretary after he went into a sulk following the party awarding ticket to Satpal Maharaj from Choubattakhal constituency he is the incumbent MLA from.He said the manifesto of the ruling party contained no mention of the three acts made during the tenure of Maj Gen Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri as the chief minister -Lokayukta, Transfer and Right to service. “However, we would reactivate   these acts once we come to power,” he said.

“After Harish Rawat came to power he refused to allocate funds to disburse Rs 1500 per month  as unemployment allowance  to the jobless youths. Would the people trust him when he says that if he comes back to power he would disburse Rs 2500 per month for the unemployed youths? Similarly, he has been promising to give more medical facilities to the ailing people. However, the fact is that during his regime, the district hospitals have just turned referral centres.  While Congress has been promising to provide more items through the ration shops the reality is that card holders are not getting their dues  from PDS shops with the  ration meant for them being seized from the private godowns. Instead of punishing the errant godown owners, CM says that they have hired the godowns,” he said.
